Volusia & Flagler Residents Encouraged To Take Online Survey On Transportation

Volusia and Flagler Counties, FL - Volusia and Flagler County officials want residents to make their voices heard regarding transportation issues in the area by taking a short online survey. The River to Sea Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) is responsible for the Metropolitan Planning Area that includes eastern Flagler County – Beverly Beach, Flagler Beach, and portions of the cities of Bunnell and Palm Coast – and the entirety of Volusia County. The organization's survey helps the TPO get the public's input on transportation assistance, roads, trails, and transit in the area. “This survey is conducted every two years,” Flagler County Commissioner Nate McLaughlin, who also serves on the TPO Board of Directors, says. “These surveys give us insight into what the transportation priorities are for the community.” This year's survey launched April 30 and ends June 30. You can take the survey here. Hard copies of the survey are available in English and Spanish. There is also an online toolkit available that includes printable surveys and an outreach flyers so that businesses and organizations can help get the word out as well. Each person who completes the survey by the June 30 deadline can choose to be entered into a drawing to receive a 3-day, 2-night hotel stay for two, according to Volusia and Flagler officials. "Let your voice be heard. It's not often that people have an opportunity that's so easy to provide input into something that's so important for our area," says Pamela Blankenship, Outreach Coordinator for The River to Sea Transportation Planning Organization.
