Volusia County's Pet Vet Cruiser Clinic Dates & Locations Released For May

Volusia County, FL – The dates and locations of Volusia County’s Pet Vet Cruiser has been announced for the month of May.

These upcoming dates are an opportunity for financially qualified pet owners in unincorporated parts of the County and South Daytona and DeLand to receive lower cost spay and neuterings for their animals.

The Pet Vet Cruiser will be parked at:

  • Fancy Fruit and Produce, 911 S. Volusia Ave., Orange City on May 3
  • Rockin' Ranch, 801 S. Nova Road, Ormond Beach on May 10
  • Oakbrook Professional Center, 931 N. Spring Garden Ave., DeLand on May 24
  • Fire Station 23, 1850 Pioneer Trail, New Smyrna Beach on May 31

Eligible pet owners include those who can show proof that they receive public assistance like Medicaid, Women, Infants and Children (WIC) or food stamps. Those who wish to get their pet a low-cost spay or neutering must be able to provide proof of income and meet certain annual income and number of household members requirements.

Sterilization appointments can also be made with the Volusia County Animal Services, located at 1250 Indian Lake Road, Daytona Beach.

The prices for these sterilizations begin at $15 and go up to $65 based upon income. Those who do not qualify for this specific program may be referred to another program that offers lower cost pet sterilizations.

Besides sterilizations, the clinic can also provide rabies vaccinations and county pet licenses. Cat owners that have previously spayed or neutered their pets through the county trap/neuter/return, free-roaming cat and return-to-field programs will be eligible for the feline distemper vaccination, ear-tipping and rabies vaccination.
