Volusia County To Hold Two Public Meetings To Discuss Hurricane Matthew Funding

Volusia County, FL - Volusia County Government has announced a series of upcoming public meetings to address Hurricane Matthew funding.

The county’s Community Assistance Division and several municipalities are coming together to talk about the availability of Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery funds to assist those affected by Hurricane Matthew. A meeting has been scheduled on both the east and west sides of the county the accommodate as many municipalities and citizens as possible.

The meetings are as follows:

  • 2 PM on Thursday, April 12, in the Dennis R. McGee Room (2nd floor) at Daytona Beach International Airport located at 700 Catalina Drive in Daytona Beach
  • 10 AM on Monday, April 16, in the county council chambers at the Thomas C. Kelly Administration Center located at 123 W. Indiana Ave. in DeLand

At the meetings, county employees will discuss funding requirements, unmet housing needs, and proposals for a regional application.
