Volusia County, FL-The official start of Hurricane Season is less than three weeks away. In preparation, Volusia County’s Emergency Management Division is sponsoring a free hurricane expo next week.
Director Jim Judge said that many agencies will take part in the expo, including a National Weather Service warning coordinator meteorologist. Special Needs registration, emergency alerts signup and fingerprinting for children are some of the services that will be offered.
Information on all of the things happening at the event can be found by clicking here. The Hurricane Expo takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at Lowe’s Home Improvement Store, 901 Saxon Blvd., in Orange City.
