Volusia County, FL – Volusia County Schools has launched a new mobile app for smartphones and mobile devices where the latest news and information can be accessed.

VCS worked with Blackboard to develop the app, called Volusia County School District, which is now available in the iTunes and Google Play app stores – and it’s free.

The app will allow users to sign up for important notifications from each school and from the school district. It’ll also offer access to Gradebook, the School Way Cafe menus for the current and upcoming months, and the district-wide calendar.

“Keeping our community engaged with the schools and school district is a priority,” said Tom Russell, Superintendent of Schools. “Our new mobile app does just that, as the many features included will allow parents, students and the rest of the community to stay updated about great things happening here in Volusia County Schools.”

Parents, students, and the public are encouraged to download this free app from iTunes or Google Play.
