Volusia County, FL - Thursday's meeting was the last for 3 members of the Volusia County Council.

Chairman Jason Davis led his final meeting after losing his reelection bid to Ed Kelley.

Councilman Josh Wagner is leaving because he's term-limited and is wrapping up his 8th year on the council. Billie Wheeler will be taking his seat. Wagner took some time during the meeting to say goodbye in his own unique way: playing guitar and singing "We Didn't Start the Fire" with his wife and kids, but retitled "We Didn't Say You're Retired," with rewritten lyrics about the County Council.

Thursday was also the last meeting for Councilman Doug Daniels who decided not to run for reelection. His seat will be filled by Heather Post. Daniels was out of town and didn't make it to the meeting.

Speaking of the departing council members, At-Large Representative Joyce Cusack had this to say: "What a pleasure it's been to serve with you. I'm a better person to have had the chance to be in your company."

Jason Davis ended the meeting by showing a video of him riding a horse into the sunset with the song "Happy Trails to You, Until We Meet Again" playing in the background.
