Vehicle Hits & Kills 50-Year-Old Woman Crossing The Road In DeBary

DeBary, FL - Update: The woman killed while crossing the road in DeBary on Tuesday afternoon has been identified.

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office (VCSO) has confirmed that 50-year-old Kimberly Alice Fulghum, of Sanford, was killed after she was struck by the Chevrolet Cobalt near the Walmart Neighborhood Market in DeBary.

A 50-year-old woman died after being struck by a car while crossing Charles R. Beall Blvd. near the Walmart Neighborhood Market in DeBary.

At around 3:06 PM on Tuesday, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office (VCSO) believes a 50-year-old woman was struck in the northbound lanes of Charles R. Beall by a Chevrolet Cobalt as she was crossing from west to east. According to the VCSO, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim will be identified after her next-of-kin is notified.

At this time, investigators do not believe the driver was speeding or impaired. As of 4:30 PM on Tuesday, the northbound lanes of Charles R. Beall Blvd. near North Pine Meadow Drive were closed as a result of the crash.
