VCSO: Man Shot & Injured After Argument About A Tattoo

Daytona Beach, FL - Volusia County Sheriff's detectives are investigating after a man was shot and injured during an argument.

According to deputies, the shooting occurred shortly after 11 p.m. last night (September 14th) near 10th Street and Vine Street in Daytona Beach.

The victim, a 24-year-old male from Palm Coast, was found and immediately transported to Halifax Health Medical Center. Per the report, he was treated for injuries that were considered life threatening.

Detectives say his account of the incident changed several times, but he told investigators that he was riding his bike when a vehicle pulled up to him and the driver asked him about a tattoo that the victim owed him owed him.

The victim said he got into the vehicle and an argument began about the owed tattoo. He said when he got out of the vehicle, the driver followed him and shot him.

He ran to a nearby house shortly after being shot to get help.
