VCSO: Man Injured At His Deltona Home In Narcotics Related Shooting

Deltona, FL – The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that took place at a Deltona home on Thursday night which left the young homeowner injured.

Sheriff’s Deputies got the call about the shooting at 1758 Santee Ave. just before 9 PM on April 12. The victim was the homeowner, a man in his 20s. He was taken to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford via ambulance, where he underwent surgery for injuries that officials say don’t appear to be life-threatening.

Detectives are still trying to figure out exactly what happened, but they say the incident is narcotics-related – it wasn’t a random act of violence.
