DeBary, FL - The Volusia County Sheriff's Office (VCSO) is investigating the suspicious death of a 51-year-old woman after she was found dead at her DeBary home following a well-being check.
Deputies found the body of the woman, Lisa Bresie, on Sunday afternoon after they entered her home on Lantana Dr. using a key that a family member provided. A deputy had tried to enter the home earlier Sunday morning in response to an attempt-to-contact request from the Florida Highway Patrol, which had located Bresie’s vehicle in Pinellas County early Thursday morning. The deputy was unable to make contact with anyone at Bresie's home after several attempts, according to VCSO.
Bresie's death is still under investigation at this time, and detectives are actively interviewing people who may have information. Detectives do not believe her death was the result of a random act of violence. No additional information is being released at the time, and VCSO says it will release more information as it becomes available.
