VCSO Investigating Puppy Theft

UPDATE: The puppies have been located in good condition. The person who had them is not in custody at this time and is cooperating with detectives. The investigation is continuing.

Orange City, FL - Four blue-nose pit bull puppies are missing from their Orange City-area home and Volusia County Sheriff's deputies are actively pursuing potential leads.

The owner reported the puppies stolen from his back yard in the 200 block of E. Gardenia Dr. last night (May 21) around 8:30 p.m.

A neighbor's security camera recorded video of a white female with dark hair running through the front yard at 5:41 p.m. while the owner was away. The camera also recorded a suspect vehicle, which appears to be an older model, black, 2-door Honda Civic.

A witness described a suspect as a white female with red hair in a ponytail and wearing a bathing suit.
