Ormond By The Sea, FL - Investigators are looking deeper this morning into what appears to be a murder-suicide case in Ormond By The Sea.
The Volusia County Sheriff's Office says 59-year-old Ronald A. Still Sr. and his wife - 57-year-old Gail A. Still - were found dead in their Seabridge Drive home around 5:40 yesterday afternoon (February 12th).
Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood says it all started after their daughter got a concerning text message from her dad, prompting deputies to go to the home and investigate.
"This is the type of tragedy you fear when you respond to a potential domestic violence situation," Chitwood added. "My heart goes out to the family and friends who are left to deal with their loss."
Detectives think Still killed his wife before killing himself, but why he did that is the part that's not clear.
VCSO officials aren't releasing any other details at this time but did promise more information at a later time.
