Volusia County, FL - The Volusia County Sheriff's Office has honored several employees by awarding them employee/volunteer of the 3rd quarter for their hard work and dedication.

Pat Allison was recognized as the Deputy of the quarter. "Aside from his regular duties out there on the road, he really helped organize our motorcycle skills challenge that we had up there at Destination Daytona," said Public Information Officer Andrew Gant. "Which was a big event - raised $50,000 for FL Sheriff's Youth Ranches and Concerns of Police Survivors."

Shannon Sibley received Telecommunicator of the quarter. “She is a huge team player and puts the Sheriff’s Office first during a crisis,” said fellow Telecommunicator Jamie Gross.

Volunteer of the quarter was awarded to Barbara Krystynak. “She is available at any given time and will respond at a moment’s notice,” said C.O.P. Coordinator Tim Lamprey. “Ms. Krystynak is essential to the operation of the Citizen Observer Program in District 4.”

The Civilian Employee of the quarter was Erika Stammer. “No matter the workload, she volunteers her services," said Sgt. Garey MacDowell. "Mrs. Stammer goes above and beyond with such gusto. I find her to be such a major component to the Sheriff’s Office family.”

Shon McGuire was named the Investigator of the quarter. According to Sgt. Todd Smith, "there is no safe place for criminals to hide in Deltona when he’s working.”

"All of them, they earned it," said Sheriff Ben Johnson before congratulating the 5 of them on Tuesday.
