VCSO Deputy Faces DUI Charges Following Crash That Injured 3 People

Daytona Beach, FL - A Volusia County sheriff's deputy has been charged with DUI following a crash that occurred over the weekend in Daytona Beach.

At around 7 PM on Saturday, December 23, 36-year-old Luke Deegan was involved in a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Williamson Blvd. and Dunn Ave. Three vehicles were involved in the crash, one being Deegan's personal vehicle. Deegan was not injured during the crash, but three others were taken to the hospital.

Deegan has been charged with DUI, 2 counts of DUI with property damage, and 3 counts of DUI with injuries following an investigation by the Daytona Beach Police Department. He has been placed on administrative leave with pay. Deegan was hired in May of 2015 and he served the Daytona Beach courthouse annex.
