Suspect Charged In Fatal Shooting In Daytona After Port Orange Barricade

Daytona Beach, FL-Police in Port Orange took two people into custody early today in connection to a fatal shooting near Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach. The shooting happened at 372 North Lincoln Street at 10:15 PM Monday night. Police arrived and found a man on the floor of an apartment. He told them he had been shot downstairs at the complex. The victim is identified as 30-year-old Leonard Horn, Jr . He was pronounced dead at Halifax Hospital. 34-year-old Jarrett Ramsey has been charged in the shooting. The pair, including Ramsey, were taken into custody after a standoff early today at Ashton Point Apartments. Five children were taken from the apartment and were not hurt. A witness at the shooting scene told police the shooting appeared to have been drug-related and came after an argument.
