Two Arrests Made In Port Orange Remodel Fraud Case

Port Orange, FL- Timothy Akins and Deborah Entrekin were arrested on Wednesday and connected to several fraud cases reported in Port Orange in 2015. They are both criminally charged with organizing a scheme to defraud in an amount of over $50,000.00. An investigation into Kitchen, Bath and Beyond, LLC revealed that the two suspects took large deposits for remodeling jobs and then were not doing the work. Police say 16 victims have been identified with the majority aged 65-or-older. The couple collected more than $200,000.00 from victims. Sub-contractors and vendors were not compensated for materials totaling at least $68,000.00. Timothy Akins bond is set at $250,000.00. Deborah Entrekin's bond is $200,000.00.
