Daytona Beach, FL-Many people are taking advantage of the permanent TSA PreCheck enrollment center that opened at Daytona Beach International Airport on July 1. DBIA Business Development Director Jay Cassens said that there has been a steady flow of people signing up. Cassens says, on average, the center is seeing 45 signups each day.
Cassens suggests making an appointment because walk-ins sometimes have a long wait time. When you’re signed up, you will have a “known traveler number.” When you make a reservation, you’ll enter the number there and when you go to the airport, you’ll be able to get through the TSA checkpoint without delay.
More than 150 airports, including DBIA, have dedicated TSA PreCheck lanes so a big benefit of being signed up is getting through large airports much more quickly.
Twelve airlines participate in the program including Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Hawaiian Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines and Virgin America.
