2016 election voter registration

Volusia County, FL-The next election in Florida is the primary, scheduled for August 30. That means you only have four weeks to register or update your registration. Volusia County Supervisor of Elections, Lisa Lewis, said there will definitely be a Democratic and a Republican primary and maybe even a third party primary.

Lewis said the August primary usually has some non-partisan issues on the ballot no matter how many are running for each office.

For those that haven’t registered to vote yet or need to update their registration, there are many ways to do so. Lewis says you can download the form online, print it and send it in.

Lewis said while you can’t register online, you can update your address there.

A sample ballot should be available online sometime this week. Lewis said you can enter your information on the website and find out what candidates you can vote for. Find all your voting information by clicking on this link.
