The Search Is On For Two Suspects In Deltona Gas Station Robbery...And More

Deltona, FL - The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is working to identify two male suspects who robbed the Racetrac at 407 Deltona Blvd. early this morning (May 17). They may also be responsible for several other holdups and a couple of carjackings.

Deputies responded around 1:10 a.m. and spoke with witnesses who said two suspects robbed the store, one armed with a handgun. An employee said one of the suspects pointed the gun at her head, demanding all the money in the register. She told officers that she was struck in the back of the head with the gun, but did not sustain any injuries.

A customer in the store was coming out of the restroom as the robbery was happening and a suspect pointed a gun at him, telling him to lay down. There were another customer and another employee in the store at the time of the robbery.

The investigation shows the crime spree began at about 9:53 p.m. on Thursday when three man carjacked a red Hyundai Elantra (Florida tag KQQN91). They drove that car to another carjacking in Leesburg around 11:40 p.m., stealing a black Cadillac Escalade (Florida tag EEPI07).

The suspects next stop, a Kangaroo gas station in Sanford at 12:56 a.m. 
The men then returned to Orange County and robbed a 7-Eleven at 1:28 a.m. The next stop was the Deltona Racetrac.

The suspects in the Deltona Racetrac are described as a heavy-set black male wearing a red tank top, gray pants and a mask. He arrived driving the Escalade. The second suspect is a thin black male wearing a gray tracksuit and a mask. He arrived at the store in the passenger side of the Elantra. There's no description of the suspect driving the Elantra.
