Daytona Beach, FL – The newest boutique hotel offered by Marriott is expected to open its doors to Daytona sometime this spring.
The Daytona (stylized as the DAYTONA) is the newest hotel offered by the Marriott Autograph Collection.
The 144-room property anchors One Daytona’s Victory-Circle with construction and decor that will “reflect a modern design and pay homage to the destination’s unique racing heritage.”
“There will be a full restaurant and bar on property, an outdoor pool and cabana area,” says Gentry Baumline-Robinson with the International Speedway Corporation. “Below the hotel will be retail as well as the restaurants that line Victory Circle.”
Baumline-Robinson also says that while the hotel pays homage to Daytona’s racing heritage, the entire hotel is not all about racing.
“The hotel will definitely be motorsport thematic, but it won’t be in your face,” Baumline-Robinson commented. She also said that the hotel won’t just feature elements of NASCAR, but also the elements of other events that come to Daytona Beach such as the Rolex 24.
The hotel will also boast 2,400 square feet of meeting and conference room space as well as 10,000 square feet of outdoor and indoor event space.
A second-floor lobby area will also feature what’s called “The Grid,” where show cars will be on display year-round.
Baumline-Robinson also said that Marriott is accepting reservations for spring 2019.
