Temporary FEMA Disaster Recovery Center Opens At Palm Coast Library

Palm Coast, FL - The Main Branch Library in Palm Coast will host a FEMA Disaster Recovery Center Tuesday afternoon through Saturday for those residents still needing help with disaster claims and FEMA assistance after Hurricane Irma. The Disaster Recovery Center will be open from 1 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, October 17, and from 8 AM to 8 PM the remainder of the week through Saturday. The Flagler Main Palm Coast Branch Library is located at the intersection of Belle Terre Parkway and Palm Coast Parkway NW. “If you need additional assistance with FEMA registration for disaster claims, mucking, roof tarping, or other questions regarding disaster assistance, please come,” Janet Nickels, Flagler County Human Services Program Manager says. “We know there are people who still need assistance. Please take advantage of the resources that will be there.” There will be in-person support for individuals and small business owners. Recovery specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will be available to provide assistance to anyone filling out their applications or updating their status. Other participating agencies include SHIP (State Housing Initiative Partnership), SNAP (formerly the Food Stamps Program), Flagler Volunteer Services, and an insurance representative to answer general homeowner insurance questions.
