Volusia County, FL - The grand opening ceremony of the Daytona Beach location of TeleTech, a customer service provider, will take place soon.

At 3 PM on Tuesday, August 8, Volusia County leaders will attend the ribbon cutting ceremony for TeleTech at 260 Jimmy Ann Drive. Volusia County Council members, business leaders, and dignitaries are expected to be in attendance.

TeleTech is a Colorado-based company with over 48,000 employees internationally. Over the next 3 years, 600 jobs will be created at the 43,000 square-foot Daytona Beach location. The annual payroll is expected to be over $20 million.

60 employees will earn over $41,288, qualifying the business for a qualified target industry tax refund up to $180,000. This wage is 115% of the average wage in 2017. The state would pay 80% and the county would pay 20%, $600 per job, with a maximum of $36,000 total.

The location, which was used by TopBuild, will eventually expand 20,000 square-feet in the future. TeleTech has invested almost $5 million into renovations and improvements to the facility.

TeleTech chose Daytona Beach for its new location over 3 cities in Texas and Mobile, Alabama after being recruited by Team Volusia Economic Development Corp.

“Due to our aggressive promotion of the former TopBuild Corp. Corporate Headquarters to site selectors and brokers throughout the United States, the space became highly sought after,” said President and CEO of Team Volusia, Keith Norden. “This project provides an outstanding example of teamwork. Partners included Volusia County Government, Enterprise Florida, the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, CareerSource Flagler Volusia and Daytona State College, among others. Special thanks go out to Mr. Dick McNerney with Adams Cameron who represented the Fisher Family, owners of the building, and negotiated the lease."

Currently, TeleTech is hiring licensed health and life insurance agents, customer service representatives looking into becoming licensed and individuals for administrative and management positions. For more information, head to TeleTech's website.
