Deltona, FL - A 20-year-old Sanford man is sporting handcuffs after federal and local authorities ram his vehicle and pull him out in the middle of a busy street.

Jacobi Barringer was arrested just before 1 p.m. today on U.S. 17/92 near Rhode Island Avenue in Orange City by members of the United States Marshals and Volusia County Sheriff's Office.

VCSO spokesperson Andrew Gant says a Marshal spotted Barringer behind the wheel of that car and organized several other members to surround it.

"A tactical traffic stop was conducted," Gant noted. "He was taken into custody without incident, and no one was injured during the apprehension."

Barringer is facing four charges - including three counts of attempted murder - after a shooting incident earlier this month in Deltona.

"The July 15 shooting happened in the area of 1520 April Avenue," Gant added. "The victim - a 21-year-old Orange City man - was grazed in the cheek by a bullet."

According to Gant, that victim and two others were in a Hummer vehicle pulled to the side of April Avenue when Barringer came up to the vehicle, demanded the keys to it and then fired multiple shots.

Barringer also faces a charge of shooting into a vehicle.

More charges could be possible since the investigation is ongoing, per Gant.
