Suspect Sought After DeLand Gas & Food Robbed At Gunpoint

DeLand, FL-Deputies are looking for a masked man who robbed the DeLand Gas & Food at gunpoint Sunday night. No one was hurt.

The 911 call came in around 9:55 PM from the store at 702 South Spring Garden Avenue reporting the robbery. The clerk told deputies the man came in, went behind the cashier’s counter, pointed a gun at his face and demanded money from the register. The suspect left the store with the cash and was last seen running west on West Winnemissett Avenue. Deputies think the suspect had a getaway car nearby.

The suspect was described as approximately 5’11 and weighing about 160 pounds. He was wearing dark-colored pants, a red, hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored boots, black gloves and a gray mask.
