Bunnell, FL - A suspect is arrested following  witness accounts saying he sexually assaulted an unconscious woman.

Flagler County Sheriff's Office says investigators responded to a home in Bunnell after 4:30 Friday afternoon (November 23rd), after a woman called 911, advising law enforcement "I think I was raped."

When investigators arrived, they were told by three different witnesses, that 62-year-old Kenneth Steele, was the man who assaulted the 31-year-old victim.

Witness reports show that they entered the home and found the victim with her pants pulled down. The only other occupant in the house at the time was Steele.

According to the report, the victim told investigators that she believes she was sexually violated, but she was adamant that she did not want to have a sexual assault kit complete on her, saying she did not want to be examined.

She told investigators that she did not want to feel worse about the situation and that she wanted to leave the area.

Investigators made contact with Steele and began to interview about the incident.

It wouldn't be long until Steele confessed to assault the 31-year-old woman, while she was unconscious, in his interview with law enforcement.

Steele was arrested and booked at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Center, where he's being held on $7,500 bond for sexual battery.

Steele has prior arrests in Flagler County for domestic violence and tampering with a witness which led to an additional charge violation of probation according to Flagler County Public Information Officer, Brittany Kershaw.

This is also the second sexual battery arrest made in a single week in Bunnell according to Kershaw.
