Students To Compete In World Languages Festival At DeLand High School

DeLand, FL– The 2018 Volusia County World Languages Festival will take place on Saturday, March 31, at DeLand High School, 800 North Hill Avenue. The opening ceremony starts at 9 a.m. in the auditorium and includes a Parade of Flags and scholarship awards for Volusia County world language students.

Volusia County world language students will showcase their linguistic skills and cultural knowledge by participating in poetry and impromptu speaking competitions, American Sign Language conversation, art displays, talent show, world language karaoke, traditional world dress, Japanese cultural experience, Pétanque, photo booths, food booths and Certamen, a global academic competition. Parents, family members, and friends are encouraged to attend.
