Florida - For the fifth year in a row, state Sen. Dorothy Hukill (R-Port Orange) has filed legislation looking to make a half-credit financial literacy course a requirement for Florida high schoolers.

HB 88 received unanimous support on Wednesday from the Pre K-12 Appropriations panel.

Senators unanimously passed a financial literacy bill during the 2017 session, but the bill didn't make it through the House.
