South Daytona Man Pleads Not Guilty To Setting Woman On Fire

South Daytona, FL- A 29-year-old man accused of throwing rubbing alcohol on a woman and setting her on fire was in court for arraignment today.  Jerod Redding pleaded not guilty to charges of aggravated battery, resisting arrest with violence and assault on a law enforcement officer. South Daytona Police responded to the domestic violence call just before midnight on July 26. They say that Redding threw rubbing alcohol on Tanisha Carter and lit her on fire during an argument. Carter was severely burned on the left side of her upper body. Three small children were in the home at the time.  Redding remains in the Volusia County Jail.
