Holly Hill, FL - A report of gun shots fired brought Holly Hill police officers to the Indian Palms Motel at 828 Ridgewood Avenue just after midnight on Tuesday. Chief Steve Aldrich said officers arrived to find a costume mask and a can of pepper spray in the parking lot of the motel. Another mask was discovered behind the motel.

Three individuals, two wearing masks, tried a forced entry into one of the motel rooms. One of the room's occupants, 18-year-old Sebastian Rawley, told police he fired at the intruders but was unsure if he hit anyone.

While the investigation was taking place, police were advised of a subject being admitted at Halifax Health Medical Center with a non-life-threatening gunshot would. Chief Aldrich said investigators are working to determine if the two incidents are related.
