Shelters Set To Open In Volusia & Flagler Counties As Hurricane Irma Inches Closer

Posted

Volusia and Flagler Counties, FL - Shelters are opening in Volusia and Flagler Counties for residents who are evacuating their homes.

A few things to keep in mind if you plan on staying in a shelter:

  • Airports and hospitals are not shelters
  • Make sure you have all your supplies together for you, your family, and pets
  • Evacuees traveling through Volusia and Flagler Counties who can't travel further due to mechanical or other issues are encouraged to seek shelter and not ride the storm out on the road
