Seville, FL - A 50-year-old man died after losing control of his pickup truck and crashing into a tree off US-17 near Prevatt Road in Seville.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) crash report, the incident occurred at around 2 PM on Wednesday, April 11. David Macclymont, 50, was traveling southbound on US-17 when he lost control of his 2017 Ford pickup truck for an unknown reason. The truck left the roadway and the crashed into a tree.
Macclymont was taken to Florida Hospital DeLand, where he later died. According to the crash report, alcohol was not a factor but he was not wearing a seatbelt. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
