Flagler Beach, FL - US Senator Bill Nelson visited Flagler Beach on Wednesday to meet with local officials and to see damage done by Hurricane Matthew.

"If you have individual problems with FEMA, your local officials can get you in touch," said Nelson. "If you run into a blockade and you still can't get individual assistance call us and we will help you. But that assistance is already authorized."

Nelson also said A1A's a federal highway so it'll be repaired with federal dollars.

He told the crowd that he was working on getting authorization for restoration but the money that would come from a funding bill could take months to get.
