DeLand, FL – According to DeLand police, a 14-year-old Seminole County high school student says he was held captive and raped at a football camp held at Stetson University.
The Lake Howell High School student told his mom about the abuse from upperclassmen and the mother told a third party who then called an abuse hotline. DeLand police became aware of the case around July 27, but they do not know when the assault actually took place.
Police say that the boy’s mom is not cooperating with the investigation.
