Flagler Beach, FL - Officials say the 1.4 mile section of A1A in Flagler Beach that was damaged by Hurricane Matthew will reopen as a 2-lane road in 3 or 4 months as a temporary fix.

The permanent fix hasn't been decided yet, but the FL Department of Transportation will fund the short term solution.

This is great news for several businesses on A1A who have had to dig out makeshift back entrances and put up signs on Central Ave where traffic has been detoured.
