Search Is On For Man Who Burglarized Mason Ave Business

Daytona Beach, FL – Police in Daytona are looking for the man who burglarized a Mason Ave business early Sunday morning.

It was between 2:30 and 4:50 AM when an unknown black man burglarized the store at 580 Mason Ave. Video shows the man walking around the closed business with a sledge hammer, disconnecting the alarm and moving the cameras. He then tried to hammer through the exterior of the bathroom walls.

Eventually, he gave up on that route and removed the metal bar from the window and forced his way in.

The man got away with various items including cigarettes, lotto tickets, beer, the cash register and between $3,000 and $4,500 in cash.
