School District Offer Rejected By Trades Union Negotiating Team

Volusia County, FL-A revised two-year proposal from the Volusia County School District was rejected today by the negotiating teams for its support and trade unions. The offer provided for a minimum raise of 6.5%.

Some employees from both unions (AFSCME and VESA) would have received raises exceeding 18%. The deal also included a health insurance subsidy of up to $500 for employees.
