Flagler Beach, FL-Santa arrives in Flagler Beach Saturday to kick off the "Holiday at the Beach" Parade by parachuting onto the beach near the Flagler Beach Pier. Police Chief Captain Matt Doughney says it's unique and, asked about Santa's accuracy to not land in the water, Doughney says "Santa's a pro!" The parade begins at 1PM with Santa's arrival by air. The parade is on SR A1A and detours will be in place at North 10th Street and South 7th Street. Doughney says the parade does not go over the part of A1A damaged in Hurricane Matthew and then repaired. The speed limit in that area is 25 MPH. Doughney says the parade is expected to last about 2 hours and isn't as big an event as the 4th of July celebration so shuttles will not be running Saturday. Doughney advises getting there early to make parking easier.   2016 Southern Stone Communications Copyright
