Edgewater, FL - During a heavy thunderstorm on Tuesday morning, a roof was blown off of a mobile home in Edgewater.

The 911 call came in around 11:37 AM reporting that a roof had "fallen off" of a mobile home. Debris was reportedly littering the yard and the road.

First responders arrived at 69 Las Palmas Drive in a mobile home community around 11:44 AM to find extensive damage to the roof of the home. No one was home when the damage was done.

According to Jill Danigel, PR and Special Events Coordinator for Edgewater, the roof was "a secondary roof that was partially ripped off of the mobile home, so it was a roof that was placed over the original roof of the home."

The Building Official said the home was safe to live in due to the fact that the homes original roof wasn't damaged.
