Road Rage Shooter Takes Plea Deal

automatic weapon gun pointed Volusia County, FL-The defendant in a road rage shooting that took place in New Smyrna Beach last September has reached a plea deal. The road rage incident started on State Road 44, passing through several neighborhoods before Thomas Tipton got off a shot at a Chevy Tahoe driven by Brandon Cook near the heart of downtown New Smyrna Beach. Cook called 911 and told dispatchers that he was leading the man who shot at him to the New Smyrna Beach Police Department. Police were able to arrest Tipton and he was charged with attempted homicide. Thomas Tipton was given 36 months of probation and community service, adjudication withheld. Thomas Tipton
