Daytona Beach, FL - Police in Daytona Beach have posted a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the hit and run accident that killed a motorcyclist from Bunnell. Investigators say the death may have been intentional.

"We have information that the victim may have been involved in a fight," said DBPD Chief Mike Chitwood. "After that fight a caravan follows the victim and his friend over the main street bridge, and then, we believe, intentionally runs down and murders our victim." Chitwood, in an interview with WNDB News, said there was an earlier altercation inside Cruisin Cafe.

41-year-old Roger Martin Jr. was dead at the scene. Police say the biker was hit from behind in the 100 block of Fairview Avenue around 3 AM on Sunday, April 3. His motorcycle was dragged by the vehicle nearly to US 1.

Detectives think the vehicle may be a dark-colored van or SUV.

Security videos are here. Warning some content is graphic.

"We're tracking down everybody that's in the video," says Chitwood. But, he says videos that have been made public are not the only videos the police are working with.

Anyone with information, is asked to call Detective Grant Karcher at 386-671-5211 or KarcherG@dbpd.us.

Callers who wish to remain anonymous may contact Crime Stoppers at 1-888-277-TIPS.
