Orange City, FL - Crews will soon break ground on a $100 million expansion at Florida Hospital Fish Memorial (FHFM) in Orange City and the public is invited to attend a ceremony to celebrate the feat.

From 10 AM to 11:30 AM on Tuesday, May 22, the community is invited to gather outside FHFM’s main entrance, located at 1055 Saxon Blvd. in Orange City. There, attendees will have the opportunity to try on virtual reality goggles to experience what the expansion will look from the inside. An interactive 3D model will also be available to attendees to mimic moving around the outside of the building in real time.

The expansion features a four-story patient tower with dedicated cardiac, intensive care, surgical, and birth care services. All patient rooms will be privatized and the number of licensed beds will increase from 175 to 225. The expansion also includes an increase in the size of the hospital’s emergency department and the addition of a pediatric emergency care center. Construction is expected to be completed in 2020.
