Precautionary Boil Water Notice For Spruce Creek Fly-In Subdivision Lifted

Spruce Creek, FL - The precautionary boil water notice that was issued for 1,475 homes in the Fly-in subdivision in Spruce Creek was lifted at 9 AM on Wednesday. The boil water notice was issued Tuesday morning following a mechanical issue at Volusia County's water treatment plant in Spruce Creek that caused a temporary loss of water pressure at the plant. Volusia County Community Information says that lab analysis and sampling performed by Volusia County Water Resources and Utilities showed that the water did not contain total coliform bacteria and is safe to drink. Residents were notified on Wednesday morning that the boil water notice was lifted.
