Flagler Beach, FL - The city of Flagler Beach has announced that some of their beaches will be reopened to the public on Wednesday, October 19.

Begining at 8 AM, the Boardwalk and a portion of the beach between 4th St North and 9th St South will be open to the public. Lifeguards will be on duty and swimming and surfing will be allowed.

The beach can be accessed at the following dune walkover locations: N 4th St, N 3rd St, N 2nd St, S 2nd St, S 3rd St, S 5th St, and S 8th St. There may still be dangerous debris in the water or in the sand.

“We’ve worked extremely hard to open a portion of the beach to the public," said City Manager Larry Newsom. "Our goal is to keep moving forward with the restoration process. Getting our residents and visitors back to normal is a top priority and I think we’re taking a giant step toward accomplishing this goal by re-opening a portion of the beach tomorrow morning”.

“The Pier will still be closed, but the Pier Shop and restrooms will be open,” Newsom said.
