Volusia County, FL-A Holly Hill man found guilty in a fatal road rage shooting in Port Orange in September 2015 has been sentenced to life in prison. 64-year-old Robert Gelles was charged with shooting 44-year-old Joseph Bailey of New Smyrna Beach in a confrontation near the intersection of US 1 and Dunlawton Avenue.

Gelles had claimed he fired the shot in self-defense. A jury deliberated just over three hours before returning the verdict of guilty of second-degree murder in the October trial.
