Port Orange Police Looking For Woman Who Told Hotline She Wanted To Kill Herself

Port Orange, FL - The Port Orange Police Department is seeking the public's helping in finding a woman who called an assistance hotline and told a hotline worker that she wanted to kill herself. On Monday at around 4:30 PM, 60-year-old Mary Theresa Reeves called the "211 Brevard" hotline, which is an assistance line for food, shelter, and suicide prevention. Reeves said that she had a bottle of medication and was in Port Orange, but she did not give her exact location. Police say that Reeves may have been around the area of 4484 S. Ridgewood Ave. in Port Orange. Reeves is expected to be driving a white 2002 Honda Civic with a Florida tag #2996QR. Anyone who has any information about Reeves or her whereabouts that could help investigators find her is urged to call Port Orange Police Department's Volusia County Central Dispatch Center at 386-248-1777. You can also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-888-277-TIPS (8477) or texting "TIP231" and your message to CRIMES (274637). Crime Stoppers tips could be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
