Man, Just Out Of Prison, Arrested After Guns And Drugs Found In His PO Apartment

gun money drugs Port Orange, FL - Police in Port Orange arrested a man on Friday morning who just finished a 9 year prison sentence and booked him with various narcotic charges after finding nearly 150 grams of pills, cocaine, and marijuana along with firearms and $7,768 in cash in his apartment. After nearly a month of surveillance and other investigative measures, the Port Orange Police Department obtained a search warrant for 32-year-old Michael Conage Jr.'s apartment. It was around 5:45 AM on Friday, September 16th, when detectives and an Emergency Response Team entered the Groves Apartments at 3780 Clyde Morris Blvd. After searching the apartment, detectives found 146.4 grams of prescription pills, crack cocaine, cannabis, and guns. Everything was seized along with $7,768 cash found with the narcotics. Conage was arrested and is facing various charges including:
  • Possession of a stolen firearm
  • Convicted felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition (4 counts)
  • Trafficking amount over 28 grams of Hydromorphone (2 counts)
  • Trafficking in Oxycodone
  • Trafficking in Hydrocodone
  • Possession amphetamine with intent to sell
  • Possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell
  • Possession of cannabis under 20 grams
  • Possession of paraphernalia
Conage's bond is currently set at $1,623,000. He was just recently released from prison after serving a 9 year sentence on criminal charges of fleeing and eluding, weapon possessions, and trafficking narcotics. Conage's girlfriend, 19-year-old Zarkia Ash, was also arrested and is being charged with possession of hash oil, crack cocaine, and 2 counts of possession of hydromorphone.
