Volusia County, FL- A Port Orange man will spend the next 20 years in prison after pleading to two counts each of sexual battery on a victim under 12 and sexual battery on a victim between 12 and 18 years of age. Leroy Feathers will be 79 years old when he's eligible to be released. Feathers’ prison term will be served day-for-day and won’t be eligible for gain time. Upon his release, Feathers will be placed on 30 years of sex-offender probation and will have no contact with any victims or children. Feathers was designated a sexual predator at his sentencing today. In accepting the plea deal, Feathers avoids the possibility of a life sentence by not going to trial. His victims are spared reliving the traumatic events and having to go through the trial process.
