Ponce Inlet, FL - A study that lists the 10 best United States travel destinations for 2019 ranks one Volusia County city at number two.

That's according to Money magazine with their latest report "The 20 Best Places To Go In 2019."

Their report highlights 20 different locations, 10 U.S. and 10 International, and what they can offer to visitors at the best value.

According to Money, the list is not created off of favoritism, but instead, they use a methodology that uses data collected from different sources.

Once the data is collected, they evaluated the average cost of airfare and hotels along with the quality of nearby attractions and ranked them accordingly.

You can view Money's full methodology here.

Just below the top spot of Jekyll Island, Georgia, came Ponce Inlet, the "quieter and more secluded neighbor" of Daytona Beach, according to Money.

According to Money's report, Ponce Inlet ranks high thanks to the promise of Floridian white sand and stunning views of the Atlantic without the crowds.

Ponce Inlet's beaches were also highlight thanks to high waves and long jetties, which, according to Money, makes Ponce Inlet one of the best surfing spots in the area.

For attractions, Ponce de Leon Lighthouse, the Marine Science Center and Racing's North Turn were featured.

Average airfare for Ponce Inlet (to Daytona Beach International Airport) costs $241, per the report. The average hotel night rate cost $154 and the cost of a 3-day trip for two costs $1,481.
