Port Orange, FL - A 20-year-old and a 17-year-old are arrested after an attempted armed robbery at a Wendy's parking lot in Port Orange last night. Port Orange police say the robbery occurred at around 9:53 p.m. in the parking lot of the Wendy's at 900 Dunlawton Avenue. Two victims, a man and a woman, say they were held at gunpoint by two men while they were sitting in a Dodge pickup truck in the parking lot. One of the victims says that one of the suspects held a gun to his face and told him to give him all of his money.  That's when the woman used pepper spray on the suspect with the gun. The suspects fled after that without any further incident, and police caught up to them at a Kangaroo gas station a few blocks away. The handgun was recovered from the Volkswagen two-door they were in. The gun was a .40 Caliber Glock 23 handgun. The 17-year-old, who was later discovered to have been the one pointing the gun, was charged with attempted armed robbery with a firearm. 20-year-old Jimmy Holmgren is charged with principal to armed robbery.
