Police Searching For The Man Who Stole A Gun From A Port Orange Home

Port Orange, FL - Police are asking for the publics help as they search for the man who they say stole a gun, among other things, from a Port Orange home back in August. Israel Rios allegedly burglarized a Port Orange home on August 16, 2017 and one of the items he stole was a Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol. Officials say that stolen gun was recovered in New Smyrna Beach on October 3 during the execution of a search warrant by another agency. An arrrest warrant has been issued for Rios for armed burglary of a resident and grand theft over $20,000, grand theft of a firearm, and out of state convicted felon in possession of a firearm. The Port Orange Police Department is getting help from the US Marshals Service as they search for Rios.
